Tetsuya Ozawa

Tetsuya Osawa was born in Tajimi, in Gifu Prefecture and now lives in Tokoname, in Aichi Prefecture. Both cities are famous cities in Japan for their ceramic art.

“Every day, with the touch of the solid presence of soil, and using the potter's wheel as a lead, I would like to learn the techniques and ideas that have been used to produce ceramics so far. I hope to create ceramics that blends into the background of modern life.”

He emphasizes on the shape and texture of ceramic ware. “You can also enjoy the pleasure texture in paintings. With utensils you can touch and use them further. I hope you will all enjoy the pleasure of watching, touching and using them”
